"breaking the innocence.."
The kids looks like they're bored..and wanna say, "what am i doing here?"The rally held in Mendiola last December 6, 2008 was quite cute and adorable. Instead of old men and women laborers, farmers and brave students with their red and black banners and placards, poor little kids marched down from Bustillos to Mendiola around 9 in the morning.
Together with SALINLAHI and the cooperation of the Gabriella and the Alliance for Children's Concern, they conducted a short program regarding the oppression on child's freedom on education and shelter.
Personally, I felt pity to those little kids. Because, at their young age, they suffered under country's problem in poverty and hunger. A problem created decades ago before their birth, until the breaking down of their innocence. They started to work and earned a little money for their foods. While the other children were at school, they were on the street selling sampaguitas and collecting plastic bottles to sell. They should enjoy their childhood in school, leraning and playing.
And,again, I felt pity to those little kids because they're always the victims in every adult's battle. They were being crushed by the government's mistake. And they were used by the other anti-government organization as a bullet to shot down the present President of the country. Instead of living with their innocence, they're forced to live maturely.
